What Is a Chin Implant?
A chin implant is used to reshape the chin area. They are available in a variety of shapes and sizes, giving Dr. Sajjadian many options for improving your appearance. A chin implant can be used to increase the projection of the jaw, to define the jawline, and to better differentiate the face from the neck. Chin implants typically provide the best results in patients with a weak chin.
How Is Chin Implant Surgery Performed?
During chin implant surgery, a small incision is made under the chin or inside of the mouth along the lower lip. Dr. Sajjadian then creates a small pocket and places an implant through this incision and into place using a sterilized clamp. He then closes the incision. Tape and bandaging may be used to hold the implant in place during the healing process. Dr. Sajjadian uses only FDA approved implants, ensuring optimal quality and safety for his patients.
Most patients return to work within a week. You may be placed on a soft diet during the initial phases of your recovery. We’ll give you detailed information about recovery, post-surgery activity, and more, before your surgery.
