Also known as a nose job, rhinoplasty is a popular procedure for men and women who want to enhance their facial balance. But it’s not just about good looks. The procedure can help with your nose’s everyday functionality. There is a dual benefit by giving you a nose you are proud of while also helping you breathe freely.

If you are considering changing your facial dynamics by doing something with your nose, you have options. One involves surgery, and the other does not. Rhinoplasty surgery gives permanent results for aesthetics and function. On the other hand, non-surgical rhinoplasty gives temporary benefits, is quick and convenient, and allows those considering surgery to take the first step.

Surgical Rhinoplasty

Having a surgical nose job is a significant decision that most likely has been on the patient’s mind for some time. It’s why choosing the right surgeon to perform the procedure is critical. Triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Ali Sajjadian specializes in rhinoplasty surgery for men, women, and teens. Apart from performing rhinoplasty and numerous other surgeries, Dr. Sajjadian lectures at various medical conferences worldwide, where other surgeons learn from his expertise.

There are different techniques for surgical rhinoplasty, including:

Traditional rhinoplasty addresses various issues. These include:

  • Oversized nose
  • Upturned tip
  • Droopy tip
  • Bump on the bridge
  • Large nostrils
  • Deviated septum
  • Bulbous tip
  • Crooked nose
  • Nose injury due to trauma

Most men and women from all age groups are good candidates for rhinoplasty. It is a popular aesthetic surgery available to anyone over the age of sixteen. However, teenagers must exhibit emotional maturity and an understanding to cope with the surgical process.

Surgical Rhinoplasty Techniques

There are different techniques associated with surgical rhinoplasty. These include open rhinoplasty, closed rhinoplasty, and tiplasty of the nasal tip.

Open rhinoplasty requires Dr. Sajjadian to make an incision across the strip of skin separating your nostrils (columella). This process allows for better visibility and access into the nasal structure.

Closed rhinoplasty is less invasive than open rhinoplasty, using incisions inside the nostrils for minor reshaping.

Tiplasty resolves issues with the nasal tip where Dr. Sajjadian can employ either open or closed rhinoplasty to achieve the required results from this surgery.

Surgical Recovery

Because of the complexity of surgical rhinoplasty, recovery from surgical rhinoplasty is more extensive than for non-surgical rhinoplasty. To ensure optimal results, Dr. Sajjadian will provide a detailed list of instructions to follow once you are home from surgery.

Non-surgical rhinoplasty does not require the same healing period as surgical rhinoplasty. Patients often leave our office and go back to their regular routine directly after injections.

Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty

For a less invasive procedure, many of our patients choose a non-surgical nose job, which also corrects the size and shape of the nose, but only temporarily. However, the results are just as stunning, with many choosing to then move on to receive surgical rhinoplasty for permanent results.

Advantages

A significant advantage of a non-surgical rhinoplasty is its convenience. The entire process takes about fifteen minutes to mask a bump or create a well-defined bridge.

Dr. Sajjadian employs dermal fillers to deliver an aesthetically shaped nose. If any of the corrections are not to the patient’s liking, they can be corrected by dissolving the dermal fillers.

A downside of the temporary non-surgical rhinoplasty is the benefits don’t last a lifetime. However, patients can enjoy their new nose for approximately nine months and come back for additional, if not permanent, treatment.

Recovery is minimal. You can walk out of our office with a new nose to show the world immediately. Then, if you like what you and others see, you can come back for follow-up treatments or take the dive and have surgical rhinoplasty.

The Price Tag

Costs for rhinoplasty and non-surgical rhinoplasty are widely different. Although surgery is significantly more expensive, its permanent results make it a one-time fee. On the other hand, non-surgical nose rhinoplasty lasts less than a year and requires additional treatments and additional costs.

To get the most out of your time and money, it’s best to always seek the advice of a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in nose anatomy correction. If you struggle with breathing, your best option is probably surgery. If not, Dr. Sajjadian can provide you with the necessary information to make a wise choice.

Where to Find the Best Nose Rhinoplasty Doctor

The nose may be a small part of your face, but it is structurally intricate. Whether you’re interested in non-surgical or surgical rhinoplasty, you should place your trust only in the hands of a board-certified surgeon who has the required experience and track record.

Due to the delicate balance of form and function, your surgeon must carefully consider all the options for every surgery when it comes to surgical rhinoplasty. In addition, it takes significant skill and expertise to make cosmetic changes to ensure stunning results. Essentially, rhinoplasty is both a science and an art.

Aesthetic skill is also vital for non-surgical rhinoplasty because there is a risk when dermal fillers are injected into the nasal tissues. Improper injections can block blood flow, leading to dangerous side effects, including the death of nasal tissue. It’s not worth risking your health and beauty with an inexperienced injector. Always strive to find a skilled and qualified surgeon you can trust to deliver outstanding results safely.
