Areola Enhancement
A large areola can be inherited or might result from the stretching of tissue from weight gain, breast implants, pregnancy, or breast feeding. Usually, the areola is reduced in conjunction with a breast lift or breast reduction, however if the breast tissue and nipple are in good position, and the areola itself is large, Dr. Sajjadian can perform a simple areola reduction procedure.
Nipple Reduction
Nipple reduction surgery is most often found in women who were born with overly large nipples or areolas. These abnormally large nipples can cause embarrassment when they are erect as well as make fitting into your bra uncomfortable. Many women also prefer the more demure appearance of smaller nipples as well as a less prominent areola as both are less noticeable under clothing.
A Nipple Reduction procedure in the hands of Dr. Sajjadian can be performed under a local anesthesia and requires only about an hour. You can return to work or normal activities the same day with a permanent and beautiful result. Additionally, your nipple sensation and stimulation should remain completely normal.
Nipple Inversion
This condition is found in nipples which project into the breast mound rather than out of it. Some women have nipples which are only partially inverted. These generally look and function normally and just do not project quite as far out as is typical. Other women have nipples which are inverted creating an almost featureless appearance on the areola. These women sometimes look as if they do not have nipples at all, since there is no forward or inward projection to be seen. Still other women have nipples which actively project into the breast mound, creating a dimple or hollow. Dr. Sajjadian can expertly remedy each of these problems, which results in a natural appearing enhancement.
Capsular Contraction
Scar tissue forms around all implanted materials as a natural part of healing, however, it can be troublesome if it tightens. An abnormally tight scar is known as a capsular contracture. As the tightening scar tissue around the breast implants form, it may cause the breast to feel firm, unnatural, or even painful.
Dr. Sajjadian is one of the most popular plastic surgeons in the Southern California that women choose for a revision of their breast augmentation procedures. He not only empathizes with their situation, but will explore a variety of options including the non invasive alternatives. However, if surgery is required, Dr. Sajjadian skillfully reconstructs the previous incision, then removes and replaces the implant. This involves a safe and relatively short procedure under a light general anesthetic.
Testimonial
“I have worked out all my life, and after 2 children, I couldn’t work off the fat despite consistent exercise. I had never had a surgery like this before. When I came to Dr. Sajjadian, he instantly made me feel comfortable. Almost 4 months later I feel happier and I see the results, with minimal scarring. My stomach looks like it did before I was pregnant.”

“I trusted Dr. Sajjadian as I was able to see some of his cases beforehand, and the results were amazing. The Dr. made me very comfortable with what I wanted done. When it came to the surgery, I had very little bruising and swelling, and within 3/4 days I felt great. I have been back to the office since and would use Dr. Sajjadian again if I need any more work done.”
Symmastia Correction
Synmastia is a distressing consequence of breast implant surgery. In these cases, one or both implants cross over the midline to the opposite side to the point where this condition obliterates or creates bands across the cleavage. This condition is often referred to as a “uni-boob,” or sometimes a “bread loaf breast.”
Dr. Sajjadian expertly resolves Synmastia by removing the implants and re-creating appropriate breast pockets with internal stitches. He then replaces the implants in the correct position. In Dr. Sajjadian’s skilled hands, neither external stitches nor bulky compressive devices are required. The procedure is safe, comfortable and very rewarding to women who are both relieved and very pleased.
Tubular Breast Surgery
A “Tubular” breast stems from the development of the breast gland and the overlying skin where the breast is not round but oval. In addition, the lower pole skin between the nipple and fold is tight and short, the breast fold is higher up under the breast, the areola is large and puffy, and the amount of breast tissue is minimal.. Most often your breasts will be uneven and asymmetric.
Tubular breast correction relies on the use of a carefully selected implant. As a specialist in this procedure, Dr. Sajjadian carefully places incisions internally that release scar tissue and round out the bottom of the breast. His technique creates a lower and more natural breast crease, as well as provides cleavage, adds volume, lift and perks up the breast. Patients are absolutely delighted with their results.
